MicoLaserPeel ™
The MicroLaserPeel is special erbium laser that removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. Removing the top layer eliminates some of the damaged cells that can give skin a tired, aged look. As the skin heals, fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with reduced wrinkles and improved color evenness.
Profractional™
Profractional is the treatment of choice for those people who have skin laxity, wrinkles and acne scarring. Profractional laser selectively treats tiny sections deep in the skin, while not affecting the rest of the skin’s surface. The area treated, called “Micro Thermal Zones” stimulates your body to build its own new natural collagen. The untreated areas of the skin help in the healing process and once healed, create an even skin surface. In essence, while the treated portion of your skin is healing, it will tighten from the heat of the laser causing a thermal contraction.
Do MicroLaserPeel and Profractional hurt?
A topical numbing medicine is placed on the skin approximately 20 minutes prior to the procedure. The numbing medicine eliminates the discomfort of the laser and on rare occasions when a deeper treatment is needed, a local injection of lidocaine is used. After the treatment, most patients experience a very warm sensation for 30 minutes and then the sensation of a sunburn or windburn for 2-3 days.
How will I look after the treatment? You are red immediately after either treatment. The MicroLaserPeel remains red for 3-4 days followed by 2-3 days of mild peeling. Within 7 days, the skin is smoother with a more even complexion and youthful appearance.
The Profactional also leaves the skin red and immediately after the treatment there can be some pinpoint bleeding which stops before leaving the office. Depending on the depth of treatment, redness can last 3 days to 2 weeks. Within 2 weeks, wrinkles are visibly diminished and a younger looking, tighter skin is realized.
